The journey promises more than just a test of skill offers a unique opportunity for adventure. This course invites you to embrace the spirit of exploration and determination that defines a true conqueror, pushing you to reach new heights both on and off the fairway.

Your game will experience some ups and downs all day.
El Conquistador Resort

Your adventure begins the moment you pass through the main gate of the El Conquistador Resort, located near Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Instantly, your attention is drawn to the stunning landscape and dramatic elevation changes that define the nearly one-mile drive through the meticulously manicured property. As you approach, you catch your first glimpse of the course—where the next chapter of your journey is about to unfold.

For thirty years, El Conquistador has stood as a top-tier resort golf course, maintaining its reputation for excellence and allure. El Conquistador is a true icon of Eastern Puerto Rico’s golfing landscape, renowned for its endurance and charm.

Arthur Hills was selected to design a new course during a significant redevelopment, completed in 1993. Like all his creations, Hills’ unique style is evident throughout the layout. Golfers will recognize familiar elements of his architecture across the entire course. The variety of lies—from uphill and downhill to sidehill stances—ensures that every aspect of your game is put to the test on this par 72, 6,746-yard course from the black tees. True to Hills’ philosophy, the course offers multiple sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels. The yardage may appear modest, but the black tees boast a challenging 74.5 rating and a 141 slope, promising a formidable round for even the most experienced players to conquer.

Imagine a resort where you’re active from check-in to check-out, even if you’ve planned a relaxing trip.
